That I made it all up and I am not pregnant.

That I have had a MMC.

That I am having twins.

This is all totally normal, right?

Very normal, I think everyone thinks the same.

Starfishkiss · 22/03/2013 19:48

Absolutely 100% normal Grin

Absolutely normal. I have had them all, 2 normal scans, a mmc, now twins, and am still here and sane. Good luck x

I was exactly the same bar the twins. I sobbed in the shower every morning and my mum and dp just couldn't understand at all. I felt very alone. The baby, that I was sure didn't exist, is now fast asleep in his room.

Phew Grin

You would think that the 3 positive pregnancy tests and now two missed periods would be sufficient proof, but apparently not Hmm

And as for twins, I am sure they are lovely, but I'm not sure I fancy it. And no DH, it is not a good thing that we would "get it all out of the way in one go", even if I have been moaning about my PG symptoms Hmm

Totally normal, I was convinced there would be nothing there or something wildly wrong. The relief and joy when you actually see your baby on the screen is amazing.

Purplemonster · 22/03/2013 19:58

Totally normal, I had that 'what if its all in my head?' worry as well.

SlouchingPanda · 22/03/2013 20:18

Totally normal... my worries so far have entailed:

6 week scan

  • There won't be anything there
  • It's an ectopic
  • It's twins
Everything was fine.

12 week scan

  • It will be a missed MC
  • It's twins and they missed it the first time
  • The nuchal thickness will be massive
Everything was fine.

20 week scan

  • There will be a fetal abnormality
  • it's twins and the missed it the first two times
  • I will have placenta praevia or some other complication...
Everything was fine.

Nothing will ever stop you worrying, not even when everything's fine. Fingers crossed for you that it all is!

SlouchingPanda love that you shared my twins obsession worry, that made me giggle Smile

I've been exactly the same! DH's (unhelpful) theory is that it's preparation for the life time of worry you feel as a parent.

Alexandra6 · 24/03/2013 06:45

Grin at Louise - I've had that unhelpful bit of advice given to me by friends too haha! Really anxious about mine too, at least we start pregnancy at 4 weeks so it's not as long to wait! (although feels like ages - how's it only been a week since I got my BFP!) Good luck.

Soupqueen · 24/03/2013 07:06

I'm worried, to the point of obsession, about all of those too. Plus the Downs Syndrome risk being high.

Scan a week on Wednesday at 12+5 and, if everything is fine, I'm sure I'll find something else to worry about!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 24/03/2013 07:38

I was exactly the same! :)

Fluffeh · 24/03/2013 08:19

I worried about all the same things. I don't think the worry ever stops, now at 35wks I worry they got the wrong gender. Even though they've said the same at 4 scans I worry she will be he and have to wear fairly clothes, sleep in pink bedding and have a girls name because we haven't even properly considered boys names.
I think the worry is normal. Good luck with your scans :).

I sware to god...I thought I made it up too and I dreamt it and then I had to keep going with the lies so I didn't loose my job!!
