....and feeling too big!
Its my 3rd (4th with MC) pregnancy and I started off at 10st2, I am now 10st8 and havent really changed my diet. I feel HUGE after eating anything and really bloated looking about 5 months pregnant!
I walk (and I walk fast) over 3 miles a day to take my dd to nursery and back and I it seems to be mostly on my tummy. I'm almost embarrassed to go out as no one really knows yet (apart from the odd person I don't know who has commented if I am pregnant)

Has anyone else had this rapid weight gain or feel huge like me at just 8 weeks?

I have only been to see the Doc so far and have a midwife appt on friday (the 1st as I missed last one as was in hosp) so I don't know for sure what is going on in there.

I put on a lot of weight with my other two girls but I was eating far too much rubbish and not getting out much, I lost 3.5 stone before getting pregnant with this one but dd2 is only 17 months so it's not been that long. (there will be 2 years between all of them)
I was so determined to not put it all back on again. :(

I put on a few lbs in the first few weeks of this pregnancy, despite eating normally (for me, I do admit to a massive appetite but have a reasonable metabolism). Not gained anything since week 6, but my tummy is huge (now nearly 10 weeks) and can't fit in my jeans! My first thought was twins, but have had an early scan and there's definitely only one in there, midwife said its just that my body knows what to do because of being pregnant before but no idea if that's true!

So no advice really sorry, but just wanted to say that you're not the only one :)

Am 7+5 and my tummy's ballooned. Am hoping it's a phase and it'll settle down. People keep asking me if I'm pregnant too!

whilewildeisonmine · 21/03/2013 13:57

I'm nearly 8 weeks and have gained almost half a stone! I'm sure last time I didn't gain nearly as much this early on. I've been eating as normal but I'm feeling more 'fatty' around the hips and bum.

ClairesTravellingCircus · 21/03/2013 13:57

twins?

lucybrad · 21/03/2013 15:02

I had gained 1 st by 12 weeks and now at 14 weeks I look about 6 months gone and my thighs are ginormous. I am normally a size 10-12! but am wearing size 14 maternity already. EEK!!! this is my third pregnancy.

Frecklesandspecs · 21/03/2013 18:28

Claires, I hope not, I really do! I couldn't cope with a 4,2 YOs and newborns!

I haven't had any sickness again or any other nasty symptoms so hoping that is a sign that it is just the one in there!!

The bloat is horrid!

Hi op this is my 4th too as had mc in dec. I found if i eat lots of carbs i do get very bloated so just try and eat lots of salad. So far this is my first pregnancy, i havent put weight on yet as im quite sick and just too worried that ill mc again then ill just end up with the weight again.

Frecklesandspecs · 25/03/2013 08:23

Hi lands and working. I think maybe part of it is that I haven't been sick at all, not once with any of the pregnancies. I know some people lose quite a bit due to sickness. :)
