Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone is in the same position or has any ideas? I'm 20weeks+5 and my skin is really bad. I've always had a couple of spots now and then but my face has been covered! Its also really dry. Should I go to the doctors, or can anyone recommend anything? It's really getting me down :( x

No real help but I have been the same. 25 weeks today and in the last couple of days it has suddenly got better, I really hope it lasts. I just relied on makeup! My skin was lovely in my last pregnancy too

Mine started to clear around 23/24 week so hope it does the same for you xxx

I found Cinique Anti blemish solutions has really worked for me during this pregnancy. It's not cheap (£30 for a 3 step starter kit- this has lasted me a couple of months though) but my god it works! My skin cleared up within days.

If your skin is very dry, you may find the anti blemish toner quite harsh? You may want to get #2 toner instead for combination skin.

Mines the same it's horrid, try johnsons baby moisture cream (yellow cap white tube about £1.70) and then sudocrem blathered on before bed x

Hi RhiRhi,

I'm pretty much the same as you, but now at 23 weeks. Since day one of pregnancy my skin has gone so dry and flaky around spots, which I never had before pregnancy :-( Anyway, i've found nothing really works on the spots other than the least fragranced, medicated stuff - and patience. so now i wash in aqeous cream and use a muslin cloth to exfoliate - this works nicely in the shower each morning. Then i recently read a helpful hint about evening primrose oil as a facial oil (not ingested). I bought a cheapy boots own pack and pop a capsule each night and rub on to my face before bed. 3rd night in and the dryness/flaking has completely gone and also make the few spots look less harsh.

It might not be for everyone, but thought I'd pass this on.
