Hello all
Slightly embarrassing post but here we go. 24 weeks pregnant with dc2 and just managed to have sex for the first time since conception, hurrah! However, it kind of hurt. Not in an ouch, must stop way. Just felt a bit sure inside, not necessarily cervix area either. Is that normal? I don't remember it hurting with dc1, could I have an infection or something? Anyone?!

Maybe you were tensed up?? It could also he down to the extra blood flow to that area, it can sometimes make things tighter and a bit more uncomfortable. I find doggy position best from 20 weeks on as it feels more comfy!!

I did wonder that but it didn't feel like a tight pain, more like a bit graze like...although I guess it could cause that sensation too. Annoying as I couldn't really concentrate on much else :( felt a bit stingy a while afterwards too.

Could it be thrush? I get sore and stingy after sex with thrush before any other symptoms come in.

More lube needed possibly? I'm familiar with the graze pain and lube always helps :) but if worried get in touch with midwife, could possibly be an infection or even thrush...oh the joys of pregnancy!!

Cross posted :)

Pregnancy is total glamour, I'm surprised we managed sex with my giant piles and swollen episiotomy scar :/ have midwife tomorrow anyway so may just mention it anyway. I had thrush s few times last time so it could well be that. Thanks guys :)

I've found it all a bit awkward due to swollen bits and it was uncomfortable for the next day or so too. I think it's fairly normal.

erm... sorry for the tmi... but here goes.

Before I was put on pelvic rest (minor placental abruption put paid to most of my plans...) when me and OH did the horizontal boogie I was a wee bit sore after too. So we developed a compromise where 'other things' were done until a certain critical stage was reached and then the deed was 'finished off' in a grande finale!

Made the 'timing' a hell of a lot easier to achieve as well.

Haha your post made me chuckle fatandlumpy :)) sounds like a good idea, though I wonder if after I've pushed no 2 out ill ever feel intact down there :/
