Mastitis in Pregnancy

I have been in really bad pain in my left breast today. It feels really warm and I keep on getting really bad stabbing pains in it. I have read that you can get mastitis in pregnancy. Has anyone else experienced it ?
I have got an appointment with the doctor in the morning.

Any advice would be really appreciated

Yes, I had this in both my pregnancies. Cleared up with antibiotics each time. It's difficult as all the usual advice (like feed as much as possible from the infected side!) is useless.

FWIW, I've been prone to mastitis while BF too, so do watch out for it in future.

Hope GP is helpful. Try not to lie on that side tonight.

It could also be Raynauds Syndrome.

Raynaulds is a circulation disorder that I have recently found out can make your boobs incredibly painful during pregnancy for up to 30 minute attacks.

There's lots of info online about it. My midwife said its quite common during pregnancy, other than the pain it's harmless but there's nothing you can do about it.

Its mastitis. Sad A weeks course of antibiotics for me.

Sorry to hear that. At least you'll be feeling better soon.
