I am 5 weeks and 2 and when I went to the loo this morning i had a similar thing (wiped there was a browny coloured blood there sorry if tmi) I have rang the hospital and they have told me to rest for today and go in tomora for a scan.
I am so scared that I am losing th baby as I have had 2 miscarriages before. But I must say with the last 2 it was very different and I had extreme pains followed by a lot of very red coloured blood.
I was told by the hospital if the blood is brown in colour then it is normally old blood and could be implantation bleeding or old blood from coming away because uterus is stretching.
I know there isn't much I can say to stop u worrying but wanted u to know ur not the only one having this. I posted on here earlier and it would seem it is quite common.
Fingers crossed for u xxx

Bits and bobs of blood is pretty common in pregnancy. I had some and remember at the time finding lots of mention of it. Get yourself checked for peace of mind but don't be getting too worried.

I had blood when i wiped twice between 4 and 8 weeks then at 9 weeks woke up in a puddle of blood :( phoned hosp and was scanned in epac that afternoon - baby was barely noticeable but alive with a good heartbeat.

mw said there was no reason for the bleeding and to keep an eye on it.

It stopped the same day and luckily hasn't returned.

I'm now 19 weeks into the pregnancy and doing well.

Fingers crossed alls well for you too i know how scary it is!

Hi, I've just posted about the same thing and I'd definitely recommend getting checked out but after consulting Dr Google for a lot of the day (!) I've seen quite a few posts saying that spotting after sex is very common. Hope that helps to put your mind at ease a little.

spnfamily · 19/03/2013 16:45
