How bad are they and how long have you had them?

koshka1984 · 08/05/2006 00:07

they are like stabbing pain, and only for a couple of days

Probably just a cramp but do you have a number for the maternity hospital you are booked in at. They are always so good. Might be worth a quick phone call as they usually give good advice.

I had some stomach ache like you describe when preg with dd and it was a urine infection. Was told afterwards that it can be quite serious if left untreated.

I'd give the ward a ring and just tell them the truth it will only waste a few minutes of their time and is worth the weight off your mind.

Hope you are OK. Smile

Can you still feel the baby moving? Is he/she moving around as usual?

In any case, it may be worth popping to the labour ward and having baby monitored for a while to see exactly what is going on!

Good luck:)

Growing pains? Silly bugger.

If the pains are still there tomorrow I would advise talking to your GP or midwife. It's unlikely but a sharp pain under the ribs can be one of the signs of pre-eclampsia. Yours sounds lower down, but it's better to be on the safe side...
