Good place for maternity bra fitting

Hi Ladies,

just wondering if anyone can recommend a good place to get fitted for maternity bras?

My boobs have definitely gotten bigger, and I usually get fitted at Rigby and Pellet, but can't afford to be doing that every two months as I change shape! I've never really had a good experience with M&S so was wondering if anyone could recommend anywhere else.

Get yourself on the bra thread and measure yourself (it's very easy!)

I'm 23 weeks and went to bravissimo last week and my new bra is so comfy, would def recommend.

Can't recommend Bravado's seamless silk nursing bra enough. The nature of the fabric means that it will adjust several cup sizes either way so will take you through pregnancy (and breastfeeding) without the need to change bras all the time. Also, they're really comfy! Have used mine for both my pregnancies so saved money too.

Forgot to say, the fitting for those bras is slightly different - check the bravado website to get your size.

It's also worth knowing that you can wear underwire in pregnancy if it fits properly. You can also buy bra extenders that can help you get a bit more life out of the ones you have.

Don't go to Mothercare, they are flipping useless.

Bravissimo! Just got back from my fitting today for nursing bras and came away with a really comfy and pretty Panache bra that's about a billion times more comfy than my mothercare mat bras. The lovely, lovely fitter acknowledged that Bravissimo don't have the widest selection (they only carry 4 different styles of nursing bra) but recommended other brands/styles for me to look for elsewhere.

I went to Bravissimo after all the recommendations on here and had a crappy experience. My boobs were big before pregnant (32 E) and I've gone up about two sizes so the maternity bras I had fitted at House of Fraser were really hurting, even though they were the right size. My boobs are just hanging down a lot so bra straps just curl up under the breast and give me painful welts. I showed all this to the lady in Bravissimo, was fitted and walked away feeling happy but when I put the bra on that afternoon by that night I had worse welts than before. Tried to wear for a few days to break it in but wanted to cry by the time I got home from work. Totally useless and brought the bras back.

Another vote for the bravado bra! I've been wearing it since about 30 weeks and its very comfy. Because it has the drop down cups it will be perfect for when bubba arrives (I'm going to get fitted for nursing bras after milk comes in). I also picked up two seamless soft support bras from primark for £4 and sleep in those.

Oh, and they stock them in John lewis -so you can try them on

Bras4mums website has some mobile fitters in certain areas that can visit you at home for a fitting. They also offer really good fitting advice by phone or email.

I aslo loved Bravado bras & nursing vest tops.

I went to Debenhams. Lovely service and the bra I got was really comfy.

I got measured at 11 weeks and that bra still fits me at 35 weeks! They grew two cup sizes in those 11 weeks but then settled.
