You do not need a full bladder like the 12 weeks scan. If baby isn't in the right position then they should ask you to come back the same day or rebook you. I loved my 4D scan before Xmas (I'm now 39 weeks) it was really detailed and wasn't rushed at all. Enjoy!

I went for one at 29 weeks and as my baby is quite chilled during the day and more active at night the place told me to make sure I has some fizzy sugary sweets and a super sugary drink 20 minutes before I went in for my afternoon scan, it worked and it got my little girl really bouncy and active during the scan which normally she never is at that time of day so the sugar rush must of worked! Good luck it's a lovley experience it really helped me and my partner bond with the little baby inside me I really did enjoy it and it was well worth the money to see her face and features so clearly!

I had 1 with my dd 6 years ago and she was a nightmare. She wouldnt turn so all we got for the whole session was her back . The lady in the end told me she would give us another half hour so told us to go away and eat skittles , it makes the baby hyper and soon enough we were getting the video and pics we wanted :) they are amazing and I recommend them to anyone. So emotional!
