My stock answer to boys names threads - David Grin

marthamoo · 07/05/2006 14:18

David is such a middle name isn't it - yes, ds1's middle name is David Grin Ds2's is Alexander.

marthamoo · 07/05/2006 14:19

It's got to have more than one syllable...to go with George.

GDG · 07/05/2006 14:20

I like it so much that one ds has it as a middle name and another ds has it as his first name Grin

WelshBoris · 07/05/2006 14:24

Alexander

marthamoo · 07/05/2006 14:25

So good you used it twice Grin

zephyrcat · 07/05/2006 14:26

Agree with Alexander. My ds has it for his middle name too as it's our 'family' name....but would have had it anyway

lahdeedah · 07/05/2006 14:28

another vote for Alexander

or maybe Patrick or Anthony

GDG · 07/05/2006 14:31

Thomas goes nicely with George too

SaintGeorge · 07/05/2006 15:13

Alexander or Peter.

I am biased, my DS2 is Alexander Peter George Smile

zippitippitoes · 07/05/2006 15:16

Andrew
nathan
Arthur
Scott
Lewis

brimfull · 07/05/2006 15:20

we use family names,ds's middle name is my fathers and dd's is my mothers

Pollyanna · 07/05/2006 15:21

George Henry?

serenity · 07/05/2006 15:22

George Alexander is what BF just called her new little boy (well sort of, she used slightly more greek versions) and having heard it for 11 days it still sounds right

I'm also biased as DS1's middle name is Alexander, and Dh is a George!

Definitely needs a multisyllable name to compliment it

I like ladeedahs George Anthony as well.

waterfalls · 07/05/2006 16:04

I think it depends on the surname too, but I like George Ashley.

pucca · 07/05/2006 16:07

Thanks for all the replies everyone, i like Alexander and i like Henry just have to choose which one now lolSmile

Bear in mind that if your surname begins with P then Alexander will give him the initials GAP (nothing wrong with that necessarily, just worth considering...)

Personally I would go for Henry but that's because it's my DB's name and I really like it! Smile

pucca · 07/05/2006 16:15

Last name is one syllable and begins with F.

we know several boys called George Thomas and George Alexander, so obviously popular choices! Other suggestions: Oliver, Oscar, Henry, Harry, William, Adam, Edward, Lawrence, Frederick, Sebastian, Richard, Simon, Christopher, Louis, Lewis, Samuel to name but a few...
Let us know what you decide!
