Dont tell. Decide if/once you've got the job.

Mands81 · 17/03/2013 08:36

Ps it's an internal vacancy so maternity pay still stands etc x

Don't tell until after an offer!

Tubegirl · 17/03/2013 08:42

Don't tell. You can decide once they've made their decision.

Blankiefan · 17/03/2013 08:45

Don't tell.

Beatrixpotty · 17/03/2013 10:13

Don't tell

Saundy · 17/03/2013 10:16

Being pregnant has nothing to do with how qualified you are to do the job. It's the type of info that would belong on an equal opportunities form were employers allowed to ask & would be kept seperate to the info the interviewers see. It's not relevant.

Don't put yourself at a disadvantage, tell them if you're offered the job.

Good luck!

waitingtopop · 17/03/2013 10:46

Don't tell!!!! They say being pregnant doesn't influence decisions but they can do it in a sneaky way, wait until they've made there's before you tell

Littlemissexpecting · 17/03/2013 10:56

Don't tell.
If you get it you can tell them then, you legally don't need to tell them till 25 weeks

Teaandflapjacks · 17/03/2013 12:20

I would not tell - you have legal obligation to do so. It may or may not prejudice their opinion, BUT if you do not get it you can think ok, I wasn't right etc, but if you told and got rejected, you would always wonder if the reason was the pregnancy, and may become resentful of the firm and these colleagues etc....

Teaandflapjacks · 17/03/2013 12:20

p.s. GOOD LUCK!

Mands81 · 17/03/2013 12:38

It's definitely not tell then! Smile
Thanks everyone x

Oooh fingers crossed for ya!

worsestershiresauce · 18/03/2013 20:53

I'd tell, but given no one else would my sympathy definitely lies with employers on this front. If they are a good employer it will make no difference to them but they may feel you have been less than honest which will colour their view of you, and your future opportunities. If they are the type of employer who would discriminate you probably don't want to work for them anyway as once you announce your pregnancy they may well make your life difficult. Employment is a two way street and there needs to be respect and honesty on both sides.

ButteryJam · 18/03/2013 20:55

Don't tell, not relevant.
