I know! I have found this too - also, when you can find them they seem to be meg expensive!

Only looked at the first page. I didn't buy maternity clothes either pregnancy, apart from some beans in gap. Just wore wrap and jersey dresses a size up and jeggings from primark with long line tunic tops.

I got loads of good stuff from DP when I was pg with ds 7 years ago. This time around, in store and online, nada. They seem to be paying lip service to having a "maternity range" but I see little evidence of any actual clothes .

Yes, got a few nice bits last time but nothing from there this time. Am mostly getting stuff from ebay, a few bits from H&M.

I agree with a previous poster - when I was pregnant with DS1 7 years ago, I got loads of stuff from DP's - they had a really good range (and I think they still did when I was pg 5 years ago with DS2).

I think the best ones now are Next and H&M

dp only appears to sell THREE things though??

Sleepy - yes. I went to our nearest huge city and only gap had ( about 3 hideous) any stock

I got some maternity skinny jeans from dp but I'm a 16, my tops were from new look and h&m and I've managed in leggings but will need some other trousers soon!

My last pregnancy I ended up with 1 pair of red herring maternity jeans, two mothercare dresses and a few size 12 tops from primark with wrap over cardigans (size 10). I had a couple of Isabelle Oliver knits from previous pregnancy. I needed to layer at work as it starts off cold but warms up (large open plan office).

That was it. Both summer babies so I would just wear dresses on hot days and take a cardigan with me in case it turned chilly.

DP used to have maternity clothes instore, only online now. Makes me think its not a big earner, they are trying to move away?

H&M are my differ go to retailer.

I got my maternity clothes instore at DPs 7 years ago...now we don't even have a store anymore in town

Ebay search on JoJoMamanBebe. quite expensive but there is usually a fair bit of it about second hand.

I'd second H&M and ASOS. Most H&Ms have a decent range in store too, you just have to find it, normally in with the baby clothes.
Or eBay. Lots if things on there I'll be listing mine later

I've bought lots if tops from New Look which we're all pretty cheap and are literally falling apart now. I still have tops I bought from expecting dd 6 years ago, wore with ds and again now (size bigger hence having to buy 10 and 12's but now I'm in those 14's!!) from Next look as good as new. Had to order everything online apart from H and M fir leggings and winter coat but nearest shop 25 miles away so still ordered online!

I think DP are in major trouble as closing stores & constant big money off promotions they used to have loads of good stuff but no more :(
ASOS is great but comes up a bit big I find H & M stuff really boring TopShop has nice stuff too but I only buy stuff on ebay at the mo as much cheaper

I'm hating all maternity clothes at the moment. Roll on summer when I can live in dresses. Have got over bump jeans (they fall down) and under bump jeans (they fall down). Feel like everything just fits really badly, this stage is horrible where normal clothes are too tight but maternity clothes just look silly.

Haven't read the whole post but I work for DP & yes it's ridiculous, about a year ago we were told that all maternity clothes were coming out of stores & going online as it wasn't making enough profit, we have so many people coming in & asking for maternity & we have to direct them to online saying that we still do it online & have click & collect delivery & returns in store, however I didn't realise until getting pregnant how poor a selection I was directing people too. Also as part of my job we have to be up to date with current fashions & have something called uniform, where we're allowed large discounts on 3 items every season so we are wearing the current trends, however I am putting in a complaint as well let's face it what am I supposed to wear?! Maternity clothes from a lot of places is awful at the moment, the only place I've found that I like the clothes & that fit well is ASOS.

when I was pg, (ended 15mo ago) I couldn't find anything and in fact all of my maternity clothes were given to me, some by mners, some by friends.
I bought a swimmingcossy from mothercare that was hideous and frumpy, but other than that couldn't find anything nice.
I did wear a size bigger in a bias cit dress whicg worked quite well

Yes it's rubbish. Friends have told me Next is good but in fact they too have dropped maternity. M&S is awful too - nothing in their Oxford st branch and very scant online. M&s can't even manage to sort their bras out. Mothercare - which I had naively assumed would, well, care for mothers, is utter rubbish. Had to return a pair of smart work trousers I bought online from them as was constantly getting electric shocks from the static caused by the 100% nylon fabric. Who on earth wants to wear nylon when pregnant? Rubbish. Best places so far have been Mamas and Papas (great sale offers) and New look online. Everything else is just naff. Feel there's a real gap in the market there for decent budget clothes (with natural fibres please - having a summer baby!)
