Sharp pain on right side of stomach???

Hi
I am 5 weeks pregnant and keep getting a sharp pain on the right hand side of my stomach just under my ribs. It could be just trapped wind (I'm going that's all it is) as I have extremely gassy the last few weeks. But I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and knew what it was.
Every single twinge I'm panicking at the min cos had 2 miscarriages previously so I'm sorry if I sound like I'm asking about something silly and trivial.
Any advice would be very much appreciated. X

Hi, I was getting those on left side at 5 weeks and think it is because it is egg from left ovary, am 7 weeks now and they have moved to right side so not sure what that is about. I know I got them with DS but didn't remember them hurting as much but having chatted to other friends who are pg they say it is normal. Is very scary though as feels like period cramps and keep expecting to see blood. I am sure you are fine though but hard not to stress at every twinge (even with no 2) Warm water bottle seems to help and tucking duvet under stomach at night. Good luck Smile

Thank you that makes me feel better. I am exactly the same sounds stupid but every time I go the loo I expect to see period when I wipe!! I am just a total stress head at the minute and google isn't helping at all because I have been reading about false positive tests so now I keep thinking the pain is my period coming and I'm not really pregnant! I think I am going crazy as I just can't seem to convince myself that I'm pregnant! X

Have done a few tests myself since first positive result. When you don't get pains you panic too - no stress free time till baby arrives I'm afraid. Am sure you will be fine.

I did another test on Sunday and it showed me being pregnant and a week further than the last one so I'm starting to believe it now. Plus we told my mum and dad so that made it feel more real as well. Although I'm still getting the same pains. Just don't know what they are. X

Are you having trouble sleeping and really strange (awake) dreams? Had one about magnets killing people last night!!!!!! Have constant queasy feeling but mainly at night. Seems different from how I remember it first time round nd part of me keeps thinking I was so lucky with relativly stress free pregnancy first time that something is bound to go wrong this time. Have held off from doing test since week 5 but have a spare incase urge gets too strong. Think the pains are bubba attatching and growing is just hard to understand how something so tiny can cause so much pain isn't it Smile
