Could this be a miscarriage? I keep bleeding and cramping.

Hi, guys. I'm 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I found out 03/05 I was pregnant and had a blood test on 03/06 which confirmed I was pregnant. My doctor said my HCG levels put me around 4 weeks. However, this past Wednesday I woke up to go to the bathroom and found a small amount of blood when I wiped. When I inserted my finger (so sorry for the TMI) there was a good amount of blood--it actually resembled a period. I called my doctor when I woke up immediately and they sent me for another blood test which showed my HCG levels at 13,000 which they said was "good". I had an ultrasound Thursday which showed a yoke sake and a wee tiny little bean only measuring about 3mm. I know exactly when conception was so on Thursday I was a 5 weeks and 6 days and the doctor officially confirmed that.

TODAY though... I woke up to more bleeding. Last night was horrible. I laid on the couch trying to get comfortable but the cramping was very intense. It was in my abdomen right about my belly and down through my pelvis and stretched all the way around into by butt and lower back. Then this morning when I went to the bathroom I found MORE blood. It was about the same amount as last time only a little more... this time there was actually blood drops in the toilet which prompted me to investigate. It was pretty chunky.

Both times the bleeding has stopped within hours. However, I have not stopped feeling these cramps at ALL since implantation occurred on the 22nd of February. Could this be a miscarriage? I'm starting to feel like my doctor isn't really listening to me and it's the weekend so I'm not sure what I should do.

Hi. I don't know whether or not you are having a miscarriage but given the time of day I would go (or call) the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital sooner rather than later as you don't want to have to wait until Monday to be seen. I hope everything works out.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, it must be very scary. My advice would be to a&a or triage to get yourself checked out. You could also call your out of hours doctors. good luck with everything.

sorry a&e

Hi, scary times I'm sure. Are you in contact with a midwife yet? If so call them, if not you should get yourself to a&e. Both these should get you through to an early baby assessment unit got another scan to check on baby. I hope all is ok x
