Holiday at 21 weeks

Hi! We've had a holiday booked for ages which we're really looking forward to, was meant to be a week of indulgence, lying in the sun all day and partying and nice food at night. Now I'm pg will be 21 weeks when we go. We're staying in really nice accommodation so not worried about it in any respect other than the heat. I'm guessing lying in the sun all day isn't going to be great for baby?! Also what type of swimwear should I be looking for - are tankinis the way to go with bumps?? Any advice would be great, thank you!

i think its ok to sunbathe for a bit, just not too long, and to drink plenty of water, etc x

I'll be 21 weeks for our beach and pool holiday too. I think it'll be fine. I have a tankini, but might need a bigger one by then!

We are going to Greece in June when I'll be 30 weeks. We booked it just before the BFP. Not too worried as booked a nice hotel- lounging in the shade with a big bottle of water and my kindle should be managable.

I went away at 28 weeks and just took bikinis. I don't think there are any guidelines as such. Just wear what is comfortable for you an if that's a tankini then. So be it. I sunbathed and swam and did everything I would normally on a beach holiday except I couldn't lie on my front. Drank plenty of water, wore a hat and snoozed in the shade if the sun was too much- exactly what I would normally do.

Fab thank you!! I know it sounds stupid but wasn't sure if needed to cover bump up to stop it overheating or anything like that! Sun lounger with a brolly, iced tea and my kindle... Can't wait!
