This might sound wierd, but i am 37+5 and last night i was woken up suddenly by what im guessing was a contraction (tummy went solid, had huge pain almost like baby pushing her foot out of my skin) it lasted for 40 seconds then went but i felt bruised after (im not good with pain!!) Ive been having braxton hicks for weeks and weeks, so i know what they feel like, but this was very different. Has anyone else had something tlike this or am i going mad??Grin

Maybe she is practicing. My DS used to do that a lot and it bloody hurt, people could see his toes or fingers and once his nose and mouth as he pushed so hard against stomach, went into labour at 37+4 and took 4 hours as he was in a rush so when your contractions do start - don't hang around! Good luck Grin

Hope I'm not alarming you but I had that at 37 weeks and my baby turned breech.

Had csection a week later, amazing experience.
