I'm looking for a swimming costume for going on holiday in two weeks time. Thing is, i'll only have a month left of pregnancy by then, so i'm really loathed to spend more than about £15 on one.

I've had a look on ebay, but there isn't really that much on there- wrong time of year possibly?

Any recommendations?

I got a fantastic and very comfortable one from Jojo Maman Bebe but I think it was more than £15. Bear in mind that you might want to use it after the baby has arrived for a little while too (unless you're lucky enough to spring back into your pre baby shape very speedily)

I found hardly anything on eBay or gumtree, and ended up going for a cheap bikini in a size up, it was way more affordable - even if you don't go for bikinis, maybe there is a tankini you could do? Or a kaftan you can wear when not swimming? I can't think of where you might find a swimsuit in that budget otherwise...

I got a really cheap one from Seraphine, think it was only £20.

I got 2 from ebay, although it might be easier since my preferred style is black all in one (I've looked after too many 8 year old boys to wear a 2-piece!).

I got a good one from Mothercare, it's £20 so a bit above budget but it is lasting quite well despite frequent use. This one: www.mothercare.com/Blooming-Marvellous-Maternity-Black-Sport-Swimsuit/LU1672,default,pd.html

I struggled to find one too so bought a plain black one from jojo maman bebe in the sale-its really nice & I (sadly!) think it'll b fine for quite a while post birth! Last time around I bought a bigger primark one-tbh that was also fine but I don't think they're in yet.

Beatrixpotty · 14/03/2013 16:39

If you would dare to wear a bikini I just got a couple Primark ones with a bigger top than usual, they sell tops & bottoms separately;they are in store now.
Otherwise ,try Next.

Next, mothercare and mamas and papas have a sale section online have you looked there?

I am 31 weeks pregnant e and take my toddler to lessons every week, I haven't bought a maternity costume, just a size 14 with high neck, am normally a size 10, high neck is slowly getting lower as my bump grows but have no problems fitting into it.

I have literally just finished trying on the two I received today from JoJo Maman. I ordered the red polka dot and the black stripe tankini. They were 26 pounds but I googled for a code and got 10% off us 8% cash back from a discount site. They are both an identical style in a medium. The top is on the small side and the bottoms on the large side for me. Although the style is identical between the two the red one us slightly bigger on the top and slightly smaller on the bottom so I will keep this one and send the other back. I tried four on in mother are and none fit me so I think I'll settle for this.
