37 blardy weeks and still no glow. I think I've missed my chance now haven't I?

I looked fab when I had DD, shiny hair, great skin - I didn't wear any make-up from about 6 months.

This time I've got spots and dandruff. Harrumph!!!

I'm also 37w, spotty, puffy and definitely not glowing!
I've also got my first stretch marks.
A friend told me an old wives tale that 'a beautiful baby steals their looks from the mother' - so as long as a have a gorgeous daughter to show off in a few weeks, it's ok by me!

JollyYellowGiant · 14/03/2013 09:53

I'm 15w. Definitely not glowing here, so it wasn't me who nicked it.

RightUpMyRue · 14/03/2013 09:57

OK, so it wasn't you two. That means there's some cowbag out there who has 3x the glow she's allowed! Angry

Neither glowing here either. 16 weeks and spotty like never before, putting on so much weight everywhere, dandruff and puffy already. In fact, I look like shite!

wispa31 · 14/03/2013 10:01

wasny me either. dandruff and blotchy face. defo more arse fat than i had few weeks ago :( oh weights room how i miss thee...

weeblueberry · 14/03/2013 13:23

Sorry. It might be me. Blush

I've felt fairly craptacular for the last 10 weeks or so and hit 32 weeks yesterday and suddenly felt AMAZING.

Sorry guys. Sad

CheeseAndMushroomToastie · 14/03/2013 14:07

Mine's missing too. Looked in the mirror this morning, looked like crap. Put on some tinted moisturiser and mascara to feel better. Went to see midwife, who immediately told
me I looked awful.... Blotchy tired skin, almost purple in some places. Circles under eyes, uneven skin, dead looking eyes. So I feel your pain OP Hmm

cupcake78 · 14/03/2013 14:48

Not guilty! I feel beyond 90 and look like I've been dug up. Only 25wks so there is still hope.

LuckyOwl28 · 14/03/2013 15:52

I look so vile I'm avoiding all contact with mirrors and people!

Always been lucky with my skin but have had a breakout over the last few weeks - loads of annoying under the skin spots that I can't seem to shift!

What I think are stretch marks have appeared either side of my hips too. Woo!

I'm 36+3 so all down hill from here!

FoofFighter · 14/03/2013 16:17

Might be me a bit too, I was told this week I looked all glowy, certainly don't feel it though!!

Tinkerbell2203 · 14/03/2013 16:21

not me, i look awful. And I have put on too much weight which is making me feel awful and am avoiding going outside, don't want anyone to see me... inversely doesn't seem to have stopped me from eating too much!

TinkyPeet · 14/03/2013 16:22

Certainly isn't me! I'm 22 weeks and have the luscious skin of a teenage boy that's just entered puberty and started shaving :'( I want my lovely skin back :(

RightUpMyRue · 14/03/2013 17:19

Foof and weeblue!! So you're the cowbags with all glow Angry Grrrrr!

Someone's stole my glow too. Like you OP I looked great last time, lots of compliments on how I was blooming.
This time, spots everywhere, dandruff, greasy hair, stretch marks down to my knees!

CheeseAndMushroomToastie · 14/03/2013 21:33

Out of interest do you ladies know what sex your babies are? Would be interesting to see if the old wives tale about blooming = boy and not so blooming = girl is true.....

Lydia161290 · 14/03/2013 21:42

I stole no such glow.

My skin is a mess, I have bags under my eyes. My hair is dull. I feel down and just wanna hide in my room.

I'm having a boy = don't feel so blooming.

RightUpMyRue · 14/03/2013 21:42

Not true at all for me, Cheese. I had a girl first time round and looked great if a bit fat, this time it's a boy and I look dreadful.

It could also have something to do with the fact I'm 10 years older?

OP posts:
MumofWombat · 14/03/2013 23:40

No glow here. I am having a girl.... But tbh, I didn't have any glow when I was pregnant with DS either.
I'm just not 'made' for pregnancy. There is nothing about it that suits me (apart from the cute baby at the end). I can't even do birth, I had a ga emergency csection last time and it looks as though this is heading for another emergency csection (but am going to fight for an epidural this time) as well.
Not doing it again. Pregnancy sucks.

Charters92 · 06/06/2013 23:25

Not true cheeseandmushroom I'm having a boy and not glowing at all only thing I got was the hair and nails the rest of me looks like total crap getting spots and everything :(

Futterby · 07/06/2013 00:09

Me, sorry! Almost fifteen weeks and I suddenly feel amazing!

Gerty1002 · 07/06/2013 06:56

Guilty... but I usually have horrendous skin all the time unless on contraceptive pill, so I figure I'm owed some glow-time :). 28 weeks and loving it until I'm the size of a beached whale

afrikat · 07/06/2013 07:48

I keep getting told I am glowing but I am cheating - it's all about Benefit's High Beam!

FobblyWoof · 07/06/2013 08:42

Well it wasn't bloody me!

Only ten weeks but I've already had to fend off comments about my spots from my sister every fucking time I see her

No one knows I'm expecting and she just keeps saying about going to the doctor, it could be hormonal. Yes, it is, just not the way you think it is!

Can you tell it's annoying me? Grin

Kayshields · 07/06/2013 08:48

Maybe it's the time of year? Spotty here too with grey ish coloured skin and those horrible spider vein things everywhere :(

Kayshields · 07/06/2013 08:49

Adding wobbbly bum also im 23 weeks
