.....if our baby is pink or blue!

Have been referred for a growth scan at 30+3 as baby is measuring 35cm. It suddenly dawned on me that we could find out the sex at the same time (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong....but I assume as baby is pretty much fully grown it will be hard to miss?!). DH and I have discussed and decided that if we do find out, we would keep it to ourselves and not tell anyone that we even know, let alone what it is. Would you find out??

You can but ask, but it won't be a priority for them so be prepared for them not to check for you. FX they will and baby will cooperate, but at this point baby is quite big and they will be taking all sorts of measurements to check liquor volume, predict babies weight etc. it can be a little tricky.

Hope they tell you!

We did find out for both. I never understood people who said knowing would ruin the surprise. As though the day they pull a small person out of you wasn't surprising enough!

Oh and good luck Grin

We did find out, I'm due next week and still worry that all my pink clothes are going to go to waste! And I don't give a monkeys what other people think or do, my body, my baby, my choice (well ours.. but you know what I mean).

That's what I thought sundae, which is why is didn't occur to me straight away. It's taking my mind off the potential problems so I'm hoping we get something positive from it :)

I found out recently that i'm having a boy. I shared that moment with my partner and it was wonderful seeing his reaction. I'm impatient by nature so finding out was the best thing for us.

It's up to you. Having a baby will be special and surprising even if you know the sex.

My gynaecologist did a brief scan on Tuesday ( I wasn't expecting him to do a scan, so my hubby wasn't there with me) and just blurted out that he is pretty sure it is a boy, but will confirm next scan. Good job we had agreed to find out as doctor didn't ask if we wanted to know or not. But I think here everyone finds out

MammaCici · 14/03/2013 08:06

During our scan we got the doctor to write down the gender and put it into a sealed envelope. We didn't want to know at that point but it was our only opportunity so I didn't want to miss it in case we changed our mind.

So! Had our scan this morning, and everything is fine with baby. And I can also report that we are having......

A boy!!!!!! Saw a rather large acronym and widget so we're off to get something blue tonight :-)
