Grateful for advice. I had some bleeding at 29 weeks. Was taken into hospital overnight but then discharged without getting to the bottom of what was bleeding why. Touch wood, there's been no repeat. However, when discussing birth options with the hospital, the doctor said that the bleeding in pregnancy meant that there was a slightly higher risk of post-partum (?) bleeding after the birth and that I would need to be given something to prevent that.
Does anyone know what the doctor was referring to? why would I potentially bleed more, where from and what would be given to me post-birth to prevent this?
