MATB1 form question

Hi - new here, hoping someone might know a little more about this. I am here in the UK on a spouse visa and am not eligible for any benefits/assistance. I never got a MATB1 form, but DH has just sent me a text saying he needs it to put in for paternity leave at work. Can the GP/midwife still issue me one, even though I have no need for it myself? Thanks!

He doesn't need it for his paternity leave - its a common misconception that men need to produce the MAT B1 - see here he only needs to complete an SC3 form.
