What size bridesmaids dress 3 weeks after birth?

I'm due to be a bridesmaid about 3 weeks after my due date and have to sort out a dress asap (I'm only 10 weeks) but what size should I go for? My friend, the bride is ordering them online but I have no idea what size I'll be then! It really can't wait until after the birth - help!

That depends on a whole heap of things, there's no way to really know for sure. If it helps at all though, I was one size bigger than I was pre pregnancy at that stage.

I would make sure there is room for your breasts, especially if you are planning on breast feeding, worst comes to worst you can always use chicken fillets to fill the space but I wouldn't want to be squeezing my full of milk breasts into a dress. I was back into my pre pregnancy size 2 weeks after birth with the exception on my breasts

Depending on if there are other bridesmaids I would say just buy material for now and get a seamstress to make you a dress after the birth. You can easily knock a dress up in a day or so. Then you'll have something you definitely know will be right for your shape.

Ooh - this is cutting it fine, if baby is 2 weeks overdue, this could be just 1 week post-birth, at which point I still looked about 20 weeks pg!!!

Depends on all sorts of things, including the style, but it's always easier to take a dress in if it's too big, than try to let it out if it's tight, so to err on the side of caution, I would probably go for 2 sizes above your 'normal' size and have a seamstress on standby to make adjustments!

I agree 2 sizes bigger and book a seamstress now to adjust it the week before, they can do miracles fitting in a dress, but very hard making it bigger!

thanks for the advice! I know it's cutting it soo fine - and I haven't even told her yet as still before 12 weeks! Am increasing in size very rapidly so will get one couple of sizes too big (I'm very petite anyway) and get my mum to take it in if needs be. Thanks again!
