I'm 39+5 with my first baby, last night and this morning I have the most excruciating pain coming from my left nipple if any clothes touch it.

I've had a look and in the very centre of my nipple is a little raised bump which is what's hurting, but I can't even bear to put clothes on yet it hurts so much. Like someone stabbing it with a pin.

Does anyone know what it could be? Is it a blocked duct even though I only get a tiny drop of colostrum when I squeeze them sometimes?

I've tried squeezing it now but nothing comes out. Sad

A blimp thing? They hurt. I look everything breast feeding related up on kellymom

Is it whitish in colour?

Sounds like a milk bleb/blister.

There are various ways to treat these.

Here's the kellymom info.

I'm not sure if Kellymom suggests it but one quick way to treat is to pop it with a sterilised pin. Sounds a bit gruesome but brings quick relief.

It was skin coloured last night but has now turned purple/black. Think it must be a blood blister or similar. Never thought I would get anything like this before I had the baby! I daren't stick a pin in it big wuss I might try soaking my nipple in hot water and squeezing later see if that does anything.
