Baby hawk or Moby wrap?

As the title says really! I'm pregnant with dc 2 and am thinking that some form of hands free carrying will be a good plan especially for when DH is away with work and DS (2.5 when I'm due) needs my hands at the same time as a newborn/ young baby. I really like the look of these two and was hoping for some feedback from those already in the know! Am going to post on parenting too as not sure of the best place to post this!
Thanks!

I'm not in the know as baby isn't here yet but I'm buying the moby wrap, it looks great.

I've got both! Never managed to get on with the Moby with DS - just myself all flustered and tangled, and in June it was a bit hot.

I got the Babyhawk at about 6 weeks and used it almost daily for months. It's not as snuggly as the stretchy Moby but loads easier to tie.

Do you have a sling library you can go to to try some out? I went to a sling meet and saw a mum just pop her Babyhawk on and off and that's what convinced me. Just looked so easy.

Have to say, if I were buying another one for that stage, I'd be tempted by a Melkaj instead which is very similar to the Babyhawk but has a hood (good for sleeping & shading from sun) and come in very pretty patterns.

It seems to be really newborn friendly from what I've read. Is it as good when they grow a bit as its stretchy?

Close caboo carrier then a proper woven.....

and definately get to a sling meet!

Cross post! I'm trying to find a sling meet at the moment. I thought that the Moby looked easier to get into but glad I read your post as it seems the opposite could well be true!

Love the moby, used it loads and then lent it to my sister who used it loads.

I have both and the moby was fantastic until DD got really heavy then we got the babyhawk, I still use it now and she is nearly 3.

I'm going to give the Moby another go with DS2 when he's born in a few months as it should be more snuggly with a newborn and hopefully I'll have a bit more confidence and patience this time round.

I loved my Moby and will be using it again this time.

I know you didn't ask about it, but I am also thinking about getting a Connecta, they are apparently fab for newborns.
