Baking soda test ??

Hi I'm 11weeks 6 days with my 4th and thought I'd try a baking soda /powder test you know powder in cup pour urine into it if fizzes = boy if nothing = girl well mine fizzed .... A lot
Has anyone else done one and it turned out right I'm just trying to see what ppl think thank you :)

Would chemistry not dictate that it would fizz regardless?

I reckon it will be right about 50% of the time.

Think it just down to how acidic or alkaline the urine is. I've not tried it however I did do the red cabbage one just for fun that said girl but I'm having a boy. Xx

Haha thanks every one :) well 50% chance is good hehe na I know it's just for fun just wanted to see what others had to say :) time will tell :) hope you all get what you want weather it be a healthy well behaved child , a positive test , a easy pregnancy ect :)

I did this for fun too and mine fizzed a lot. It fizzed a lot when I was pregnant with DS aswell.

I read an article somewhere once where loads of women had taken the test and posted their results and scan/birth outcome. Apparently the test was right for 80% of them. It must have been a fluke. I can't see how a girl or boy would change the acidity of your urine. If anything, it's food/drink that would change it.

I'm 20 weeks now and had my scan its a BOY :) so happy looks like this test was right for me :) xx
