Hello everyone,
I'm 10 weeks pregnant and I'm just wondering if anyone else has had similar experience. I'm quite slim and sometimes I can see the definition of what could be a pregnant tum and then other times it looks pretty normal. Still feeling tender boobs and pretty queasy. Maybe the tum protrudes when I've eaten more, very strange. Scan in a couple of weeks so fingers crossed little one is okay in there xxx

I'm 25 weeks and I only really started to noticeably show about 4 weeks ago but seem to have a massive bump overnight!

curlyclaz13 · 11/03/2013 11:34

27 weeks and small bump but really just look fat. only one person had asked if I am pregnant so far ! was a fatty before so maybe not as obvious and quite long in the body so room for bub inside !

Jollyb · 11/03/2013 11:40

I'm 20 weeks and just into my maternity jeans but not really showing as such. Still in the horrid podgy stage. With my daughter I didn't get a decent bump until around 30 weeks.

Rockchick1984 · 11/03/2013 11:44

I bloated up very quickly last time but it wasn't a proper bump until about 22 weeks - I'm 8 weeks now and again am bloated so feel fairly normal in the morning but by bedtime I feel huge!

BeadyEyes · 11/03/2013 12:00

I am short and petite and (to my slight horror) started developing a bump at about 9-10 weeks. I am convinced it's really obvious, and one of my colleagues keeps eyeing it up suspiciously (I haven't told anyone yet). So I think it's normal to get some weight gain there early, especially if you are normally quite slender.

FoofFighter · 11/03/2013 12:21

Bloat bump pretty early on ( about 8 weeks) proper baby bump just appearing in last week or two (18 weeks now)

BentleyBelly · 11/03/2013 12:22

I am also short and petite and at 16 weeks have a very noticable bump. My jeans are done up with a hairband...must go shopping for maternity clothes this week!

phoenixrose314 · 11/03/2013 14:15

It all depends on how much weight you're carrying/dress size prior to your pregnancy, and what shape your bump decides to take.

I was a size 10-12 pre pregnancy, and my bump really popped around week 16. Went from almost nothing to serious bump in a matter of days!!

DreamingOfTheMaldives · 11/03/2013 14:35

I'm 15 weeks and I've noticed my tummy starting to look slightly rounded low down. I think to anyone who doesn't know I am pregnant, they would just think I had a fatter belly bit of podge!

Somewhat bizarrely, despite not having had much in the way of sickness, so have been able to eat normally throughout most of my pregnancy, I noticed today that I have lost 2.5 pounds since being pregnant!

Guntie · 11/03/2013 14:52

I noticed on myself fairly early. I overheard people saying "Oh look she's pregnant" at 16 weeks.

catlady1 · 11/03/2013 14:55

I was a size 16 to begin with but I didn't have a noticeable bump until about 24 weeks. And even then I just looked fatter. Nobody commented who didn't already know for certain until I was 38 weeks, but I suppose people tend not to, due to how mortifying it would be to be wrong!

beckie90 · 11/03/2013 15:29

Each person/pregnancy is completely different. I'm 5'6 size 6-8. Having my 3rd ds. First had a definate bump at 12wks, second didn't have a definate bump till 35wks. Currently 18+2 with ds3 and some days extremely bloated but other days can't tell, although I can still tell. I've not told anyone other then dp and his mum and no one else has guessed xx

GoodnessMeNoGinInTheHouse · 11/03/2013 15:52

About 13-14 weeks but I could tell from about 10 weeks. This is my second pregnancy and my stomach muscles were shot to pieces after an EMCS last time, though I tried hard with pilates to get back in shape. I am now 16 weeks and have a VERY noticable bump. I was certainly not showing this much until about 20-22 weeks the first time around...I am a size 12/14, 5'6 and not overweight...

ExhaustedMamasita · 11/03/2013 16:18

I?m short, slim?ish with curves and my DH thinks I?ve started showing properly now at 14 weeks. I could feel my little bump at about 10 weeks though. I?ve found however it?s dependent on what you wear? dresses that go in below your boobs or tight tops seem to show off my bump more than loose clothing.

waitingtopop · 11/03/2013 16:18

It's probably bloating that your noticing, I thought I was showing at about 9 weeks and was convinced i was much further along than we thought but turns out i was terribly bloated.. Much less attractive than what I thought was my little boy lol..
Don't wish your body away though I couldn't wait to have a bump & for people to notice but now at 38 weeks a bottom covered in stretch marks and being almost completely immobile from the achey feet back ache and pelvic pain and in ability to fit through small gaps without bump being in the way, I'd love to have my 10 week body back! Keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end when I have my baby boy!! x

smallsmith · 11/03/2013 17:28

I'm 15 weeks, and think I'm just about getting a little 'baby' bump now, although I have been eating A LOT so it could just be all the extra snacking! Before the 12 week scan I'd convinced myself there was no baby and it was all just cheese! Try not to worry too much, all our bodies are different and will show at different times x

preggertron · 11/03/2013 18:31

I'm also 10 weeks pregnant and have found generally in the morning I look normal but as the day progresses I get more and more of what looks like a baby bump. I'm also tall and thin. I think food has an impact but I think it's all fine. My scan is also in two weeks. Can't wait.

Sanjifair · 11/03/2013 18:58

I am 10 weeks too, and I started to show at 8 weeks. With my first I didn't show for ages. Lucky it's cold, I am wearing jumpers so no one will notice!

LouiseD29 · 11/03/2013 20:06

I'm like Foof! Had bloating in the early days which made my tummy stick out at times, but think I have a real bump now at 18 weeks.

mrshen1 · 12/03/2013 13:59

wow it really varies then! some of my symptoms come and go but the painful boobs are still there. I suppose I need to be patient :)

SeriousStuff · 12/03/2013 16:18

Mine varies - I was a size 10. I'm now 9+5 weeks and my size 12 jeans won't do up easily anymore.

Having said that, it does change, one hour I feel quite flat stomached, the next, I feel like a barrel!

I had a relatively flat stomach from regular exercising before getting pg, so I have noticed that it's getting rounder!

Lydia161290 · 12/03/2013 17:56

I'm tall, slim. Don't easily gain weight. I started to notice my bump at 20 weeks.

GindianaJ0nes · 08/09/2021 10:32

I’m a size 6 and quite slim. Noticed a fullness down there at 12 weeks with first pregnancy and was showing at 13! Hard to hide it at 14w but everyone is different!

MyMabel · 08/09/2021 10:37

With my DD I started showing a real ‘pregnant belly’ at about 19 weeks.

I’m now 12 weeks with second baby and have a lightly noticeable bump already, a lot of bloat before that! A little bit nervous as twins run in the family and I swore I’d stop at two children so if I’ve got the buy one get one free offer I won’t know what to do with myself Grin

timeisnotaline · 08/09/2021 10:40

I’m 16 weeks, size 10 and bump is huge - 3rd baby I guess the stomach muscles throw out the white flags and run for the hills at the first trace detection of hormones Grin. Disconcerting to think it’s going to keep growing for another 5 months Shock
