I would go to the doctors because it could one of many simple things including not eating enough, not drinking enough, blood pressure ... Etc etc. I've had occasional dizzy spells but quite few and far between so if its happening regularly, it's worth getting checked out just to be on the safe side and put your mind at rest x

It's worth getting checked out but don't worry about it.
I get very dizzy too and been told its just all the extra blood my body is pumping around.
Make sure your drinking plenty of water and eating regularly

Thanks! I'm prone to severe labyrinthitis at times and have medication but I don't think that's what this is!

Try to lie on your side rather than your back too

I'm finding it really easy to get dehydrated too which would cause dizziness. Drinking hot water is easier than cold water for me (30 weeks)

Hope you feel better soon Thanks

I've had quite a few bouts of dizzyness, my blood pressure is fine. The Drs reckon that the heat is playing a part for me (I live in Perth, WA, we've had a record breaking summer this year). He also said it could be a surge of hormones.

bluer · 11/03/2013 21:11

Ooh i'm near another Perth but it'd snowing here so not the weather ;) got pressure taken and it was a but low, also had blood taken to check iron. Still i'm feeling much better today thanks!

Same here, think it's the return of anaemia in my case so am taking iron tablets but getting blood test done tomorrow to confirm (I know my blood pressure is ok, or was last week). Be careful if you drive in case you do faint. Snack regularly and If you feel dizzy sit down if you can!

ButteryJam · 12/03/2013 07:59

Yes do see Dr, it could be anemia or low blood pressure

knickyknocks · 12/03/2013 09:08

In the early stage of pregnancy with my DD, I had some awful dizziness - it's really horrible, so lots of sympathy for you (though glad to hear you're feeling a bit better today).

Mine was due to low blood pressure - glad they're checking your iron though aswell. My best piece of advice was to try and drink some of those lucozade isotope drinks (obviously wouldn't help with iron levels - if that's what it is then some iron tablets should do the job). But just wanted to suggest those isotope drinks - I used to have at least a third to two thirds of the bottle before making an attempt to get out of bed and it definitely helped Smile.
