Forgot which week I am in

I always look forward to Saturday as that's when I start a new week with this pregnancy. It's DC2. All along I've known exactly how many weeks & days I am. I had two m/cs last year so even though this is DC2 I've followed the dates like a hawk.
Today I thought I'd be 33 weeks but I'm only 32. How did that happen? All of a sudden I feel like I have another week of pregnancy to get through! 7 weeks to go sounds like MUCH less than 8.

Count back from your due date or if counting from date of LMP, then you only are 1 week AFTER the first 7 days, not week 1 from the get go. I made that mistake and thought I was 1 more week than I actually am.

If you're 32 weeks now, you should be having your final scan to check all is well and baby is growing ok. Ask the person who does the scan to tell you as they can see from the measurements.

7 or 8 weeks will go by soon so try not to dwell too much.... Otherwise it's like the watched pot never boils and time will seem to drag.

Good luck with everything- baby may come early and scupper your week watching Wink

Would this help MammaCici?

Thanks for your replies girls.
I know exactly when I Oed, I was charting so I know when I'll be 40 weeks. Just in my head I've been counting down the days and weeks and somehow managed to confuse myself! Silly really!
Where I live in Sweden we have regular midwife check ups but it's very hands off. One scan at 18-20 weeks is all you have, unless there is cause for concern. There's no cause for concern with my pregnancy at this point. I have a simple case of pregnancy brain! That's all. I'm really looking forward to the last few weeks as my mum is visiting from Ireland to take care of DS when baby decides it's time. Hopefully not before Mammy comes.
Having thought about it I'm quite pleased to have lost track. After two m/cs last year I have been really anxious with this pregnancy. I think losing track is sign that I'm finally chilling out a bit.
Thanks!
