Pretty TMI this, so sorry.

A few nights ago after feeling unwell for a while and not having 'been' for a few days i experienced a trumatic 'episode' in which i passed a massive stool.

My body went into an automatic 'contractions' to expel it and after, my under carrage was swollen with a dragging feeling. i was worried that i had damaged my pelvic floor in some way

Although the swelling has gone down now and nothing seems to have prolapsed when i stand there is a slight dragging feeling.

i was wondering if anyone had experienced the same (unlikely) or if anyone knew about pelvic floor damage and how to fix it...

i'm 25 weeks and the indignaty of pregnancy has well an truly commenced

Just thought I'd share in the pain with a TMI story of my very own...
I'm also 25 weeks, went for a poo the other day and basically ripped myself in half, literally blood everywhere, genuinely thought I was dying. Turns out, just one more pregnancy complaint. I have been upping my pelvic floor exercises since and trying not to freak out about labour.

Isn't the miracle of life just delightful.

I'd recommend looking at diet and trying to eat things that reduce constipation and soften stools. fibrogel or lactulose may help too. I had similar problems earlier and have been taking stuff on prescription to soften things. I have had a bit of both of your issues and my hubby finds it quite entertaining. I had never had constipation before and Crikey its rotten. I have never been so conscious or nervous of going to the loo........I think I'll be developing issues....
