Has my blood pressure risen?

Had GP 31 week check yesterday. Blood pressure is 75/116. But most of this pregnancy and DD1 it's been 60/100; except for last Tuesday when I had a small bleed. GP didn't seem worried but I've been wondering why it's gone higher? With DD1it went up at 37 weeks and was told to stop work, went up to85/135 from what I remember - that was 4YO tho.

116/75 is still fairly low/normal, more of an issue if it reaches/exceeds 140/90. Blood pressure varies day to day and even during the day which is probably why your GP wasnt overly worried

p.s. 100/60 is regarded as quite a low blood pressure and normal blood pressure is around 120/80

I agree, it's not a radical rise. It can improve in later pregnancy anyway. 'Normal'/ideal outside of pregnancy would be 120/80 but mine has been 100/60 but in the last couple of weeks gone up to 115/70 ish. It's only if it goes above 140/90 that its cause for concern as hoop says.

That is fine!!

I was 120/70 right up to 38 weeks. Suddenly I shot up to 150/100 (got to 160/110 then they hospitalised me and put me on hypertension drugs).

If they think your bp is too high you will be admitted to hospital before you can say WTF.

As you know I had a big bleed around the same time and when they checked my bp in the ER it was 170/120!!!!!!! I'm not bloody surprised...

Yes zara I do worry too much! My bp was up to 90/130 when I had the bleed but that's probably because of all the fuss! Just got a pg Pilates DVD which I am going to use this weekend to chill out too.
I would say let's all have a but its got to be a for now!

My blood pressure when up at my last check but we put it down to the fact that I got upset when discussing a previous birth trauma. My blood pressure was taken right after and I was all weepy.
If you have exercised or are stressed out it will read higher than if you are relaxed and happy!

My BP went up, not when up! Oops. God knows how many other errors I typed! Sorry!
