Went for my 12 week scan today, and baby wasn't cooperating at all...upside down and curled up so they couldn't take any measurements other than the rump to head one. When I asked about rebooking to try again for the tests, was told they don't do it, and would just be seen again at 20 weeks. Is this normal practice? I thought I may get a repeat appt again in a couple of weeks to get the tests done.

I am considering going for a private scan, but don't really have the money to if I don't have to...

Im not sure what the normal practice is but I think they can only do the test from 11 weeks till 13+6. So I would ring up and push for another if you really want it done.

Hi where I work we always try and get people back for a second attempt. Normally we get people to go and walk around for 10-15 mins while we scan someone else and then try again. Obviously it wouldn't be possible to do this for everyone as we'd get too behind so if we don't have time on the day then we'd make them another appointment. I think it's very poor practice to not offer you a second attempt.
