Just had my 36 week appt and bump is measuring 29cm. Midwife has booked me in for a scan tomorrow and has reassured me that there most probably isn't anything wrong. I was feeling very calm about it whilst she was here but now they've gone the doubt is starting to creep in.....

This is dc2 by the way. My ds1 is 15 months old.

Anyone one else been through/going through this? It all worked out fine in the end, right?

Yes I was measuring too small at 34 weeks, I had a scan that week, they scanned me and told me then and there the baby looked okay, they look at the fluid surrounding him and said all was well and sent me home, I still measured small up to his due date, he was born 2 days before due date, I had him at 3.20am he weighed 6'10 (so was smaller than DS1 but only by 3/4lb) and we were home and back in bed by 9am the following morning.

Now he is 8 years old and wears clothes for 11 years old.

Try not to worry too much, it's good they are checking on you and it will be a nice chance to see your baby again. I hope everything goes okay.

I measured small with two of my children.

I had scans that confirmed everything was fine and they arrived at 8 lbs 3oz and 7 lbs 7 oz respectively - hardly tiny.

The tape measure method is very inaccurate, and even the scan can be way out - I was told, at the scan after the small measurement, that DS1 would be 9lb+!

It's very likely that everything will be fine. Best of luck.

Thank you ladies :) the rational part of my brain (the small part that's left) knows that there's nothing to worry about but you know how it gets when you're waiting around thinking about it.

DS1 was 8lb4oz so actually wouldn't mind if this one was a bit smaller ;)
