Stressing out about nuchal scan results!

In need of advice? how long do you wait till you badger the hospital for the results of the nuchal scan?

I was told I?d receive the results within a week after it took place, I?ve now been waiting 10 days and have heard nothing! I?m stressing out big time. How long did you wait and when do you recommend I start chasing?

Hi, I know this might not help but honestly in these circumstances it is generally a "no news is good news" situation, my hospital said upto 14 days by post or they would call in two to three days if there was an issue. In my case there was an increased risk and I heard in 48 hours so the most likely thing is that you're not high risk and it's just in the post xx

I didn't get my results for 6 weeks and even when I did get them I was dubious it was just a number plucked out of thin air, to be honest. I would call, call and call again. It seems to be the only way to get anything done.

I also agree with suzy that its normally a case of "No news is good news".

Mine took over 2 weeks to arrive by post. I was told that if a potential problem was flagged they would phone you within a few days of the test. Probably nothing to worry about

At my hospital they phone you within 48hrs if you are high risk, write within a week if all ok.

I was told I'd hear by phone in 3 days if it was worrying news.

If it's low risk then a letter goes to your community mw who may forward it or may hold onto it till your next mw appointment.
