Hi ladies, I'm a bloke (on my sisters account) and my wife is pregnant. I would really like to treat her to some maternity wear but have no idea what to get her.

What do you ladies need while your pregnant?

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

How lovely of you... I think you can't go wrong with a wrap top as they flatter pretty much everyone and are very versatile. The ones from Isabella Oliver and Jojo Maman bebe are popular - the former more expensive. Buy in her pre-pregnancy size.

Ah, what a nice husband you are. You would probably get a bit more of a helpful response if you said how pregnant your wife is and what her daily pattern normally is eg does she have an office job, stay at home mum with older kids etc.

As an office worker and a mother to a toddler, I would say that my best buy for office wear has been an Isabella Oliver wrap dress www.isabellaoliver.com/maternity-clothes/uk I have found dresses much easier for work and whilst those ones are lovely and a real treat, they are very expensive, and have found similarish at George at Asda, Dorothy Perkins etc

For home, I live in either maternity jeans (again I have found high street brands are good but probably something she'd want to choose herself) and stretchy tops with a bit of ruching and a cardie or leggings or tunic type tops (non maternity) from the likes of White Stuff.

Ebay is brilliant for maternity stuff because it has hardly been worn and you can get some very good deals.

I second the wrap top vote - at jojomamanbebe they are about £30 but well worth it. I'm just starting to show and they are flattering now, and will fit right through until nine months.

You are a lovely bloke!

It depends on what her style is, I'm a casual style and I loved my maternity jeans from H&M. I ended up buying two pairs in different coloured denim. I found that they fit well and didn't lose shape after one wear like a lot can. They also had belt hoops which I loved so no chance of slipping down like the others I had.
They definately got a lot of wear and were comfy to wear post-pregnancy aswell
