Stye in my eye for first time. 7 months+ pregnant. Should I see a doctor?

About 5 days ago I started waking up with a sticky eye. It's gradually gotten worse and more painful. Yesterday I could see a clearly defined "head" just inside the eyelid at the outside corner of my eye. Today my upper and lower lids are swollen and I don't see a head.
DH got me a cream from the pharmacy yesterday and it makes it more painful. I hope it's helping. I've been using hot face clothes on it and it seems to help.
Does anyone have experience with styes during pregnancy? When should I see a doctor? The eyelid is really only swollen since today although it's been painful for several days. Should I give it a few more days and hope for the best? The last thing I want is antibiotics during pregnancy. I just hope my body can do it. I've never had one before.

I don't think you need to see a doctor for a stye, whether you're pregnant or not. It should clear up in a few days, though I know they can be painful during that time.

Did your DP tell the pharmacist you're pregnant when he got the cream? If not, I'd give them a ring and double check you're ok to use it.

My DP gets styes a lot, usually when he's a bit tired and run down. They are horrid but they do go away in their own in this end. Try bathing with salt water and clean cotton wool. My mother used to rub them with a gold ring when I got them as a child. I don't recommend that!

Yes, I made sure that he said I was pregnant and I've read the leaflet and it says it's ok. It's really sore and making me miserable! I've got a 2 year old who is full of beans. I'm considering a pain killer. If it was earlier in the pregnancy I wouldn't use the cream or anything but perhaps at this stage it's better to make myself more comfortable.
