Hi, I am 15 wks tomorrow. I had a scan 2 weeks ago and everything looked fine. No concerns mentioned.

This weekend I have been in bed with a cold/ sickness/ slight temp. I felt awful on Saturday (couldn't keep anything down, constand sneezing, very tired) and a little better yesterday. I had to go into work this morning due to a commitment, but felt crappy throughout the day, and it's sort of my plan to take tomorrow off because I know I can't get through the week feeling like this.

Just before leaving work I went to the loo. Wiped, and all fine, but I felt very itchy down there. I used another bit of loo roll and, er, relieved the itch a little bit, and noticed a very pale pink discharge on the tissue. I wiped again and there was a little bit more. I'm talking about a tiny bit here. Enough to cover 1cm squared of loo paper. after that I couldn't find any more.

I'm now at home, and checked Again - 1hr since previous check and still nothing (well, a very small amount of cream coloured discharge, which has become normal)

Has anyone else had this? What was it the start of?
Thanks.

Thrush mayabe?would phone in if you are worried tho

SeriousStuff · 04/03/2013 19:32

Is it possible, when you relieved the itch, that you drew some blood which mixed in your discharge?

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 04/03/2013 19:41

Try not to worry! I had this several times in my first pregnancy and everything was fine.

MeanMrsMustard · 04/03/2013 19:43

I thought that Serious, but im not sure it would have mixed so completely iykwim.
I do have symptoms of thrush I guess. It hurts a bit when I wee. But the discharge was pinky, not white.

Why do these Things happen out of office hours?

I have had pinky discharge quite a few times, between 4 and 17 weeks - latest occurrence - yesterday! Saw midwife this morning and she said it sounds completely normal (not associated with serious pain, clotting, etc) and not to worry.

Try not to worry, but keep an eye on it and tell your GP or midwife if it's making you anxious.

Thanks.
Its the first blood I've had during my pregnancy, so I think that's why I'm panicked.
I have now seen a tiny amount of blood since my first post. It was red and only a very tiny pin prick so I'm thinking maybe I have scratched myself somehow. Fingers crossed.

Hi,
Sort of update;
The midwife said not to worry unless I get any bleeding with fresh blood. I also went to my gp who tested my urine and said I have a UTI, so I've got antibiotics and am resting. Must also remember to drink water!
Feeling calmer now, as thinking about it it was only a tiny amount of blood.

Sorry to hear about the uti, but glad the midwife doesn't think you have anything to worry about. Take it easy!
