Bleeding after DTD

Hi, sorry if this is tmi but I'm wondering if I'm being a bit too relaxed about this. DH and I had sex this afternoon and straight afterwards I had pale red watery discharge. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and having my scan next week. I had some very mild cramps afterwards but nothing that made me think anything unusual. This is my second pregnancy and I never bled after sex in the first pregnancy. I know each pregnancy is different and aware that blood vessels are easily broken 'up there' during sex, but part of me is wondering if I'm being too relaxed. I will call my midwife tomorrow morning but should I go to the hospital tonight or is this really common? Has anyone else experienced this? Has it lasted all through the pregnancy? Thanks in advance! I should also say that the pregnancy has been fine so far too.

Sorry, I don't have any personal experience of his.

Do you have a midwife yet of could you call the early pregnancy/maternity ward at hospital for advice?

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but if it was me I think I'd like peace of mind otherwise id just worry unnecessarily.

Same thing happened to me at 12 weeks, all was fine!! It sorted itself out after that, so don't panic - some people just bleed more easily than others xx

Yep, very common. Had the same thing and all is good.

Same thing in both pregnancies. Pale pink discharge after sex. I'm also very tender down there. I have to go and get checked out with any bleeding as I'm rhesus neg and each time I've been they haven't found anything to worry about. I'm currently 38 weeks preg and have been on a sex ban since 23 weeks because of this and the need to give me anti D jab due to my blood group. What fun!

Unless you're rhesus negative if it's just a bit of pink discharge and no cramps I wouldn't rush in. Just keep an eye on it, and be careful when jumping your DP!

I had a proper bleed at 10 weeks. Only lasted for a week or so.
Keep an eye on it tonight. There's nothing the hospital can do tonight. If it carries on then call the MW.

Thanks for the replies, it's put my mind at rest. I had a feeling it wasn't anything to worry about but I'll give the midwife a call tomorrow anyway just to be sure. I guess that's the problem with looking things up the Internet, you always find a horror story that makes you paranoid! I'm not rhesus negative and I have my scan soon too, but will definitely be more careful in the future when feeling amorous! Lol!

Midwife said that it was very common and she would only want to examine me if I was having strong cramps and the bleeding was not settling and/or getting worse. Which I have neither and so can relax! Phew!

Yes, happened to me in last pregnancy (not this time though) and all was fine.

I did go in with bleeding (not after DtD) and turned out I had thrush & was carrying group b strep.

But don't know if that was the case with earlier bleeding & all was basically fine anyway.
