Am I miscarrying
I am 7 days late, but so around 5 weeks pregnant. 1 day after missed period I did a boots own test which was negative. The next day I did a first response which Was very faint. I did another first response yesterday at 6 days late and it was still just as faint. I've had no symptoms at all, I have two older children and always got morning sickness. I've had nothing. I've been having tummy ache, nothing major. But today quite uncomfortable it's in my back and all round my stomach. It's not painful. I'm also bleeding, just came today, it's not heavy but it's bright red. I went and bought a clear blue digital but it says pregnant 1-2 and I think it should be at least 2-3 if not 3+ at 5 weeks. It's not looking good but wanted some advice. Do I just wait and call the midwives tomorrow and see what they say? I haven't rang them yet about it I was going to do that tomorrow anyway. Not sure what to do.

I don't think the faint lines or lack of symptoms are anything to worry about but the bleeding doesn't sound so good. I know there are lots of people though who have had bleeding and had healthy pregnancies. Think phoning midwives tomorrow sounds a good plan. Hope everything turns out well.

id get to the docs soon as poss hun get him to check your hormones x x

Should I try to get in with the gp tomorrow then. I've not made any appointments with the midwives yet I was going to do it next week, at my gp surgery the midwives can only be contacted between 2-3pm but I dunno if the gp would do anything, is it too early to go for a scan

you can have blood tests done 48 hrs apart to see if the hormones are rising correctly - this should put your mind at ease.

id say the gp would be your first port of call x

Thanks for your advice. I spoke to the gp on the phone and she's told me to go straight to the emergency pregnancy unit so I'm off there now. She told me she would have advised me to go yesterday so I'll go straight e what they say.

Hi Iris1, just wondering how you got on at the hospital today?

Iris1 · 16/03/2013 21:02

Hi sorry I didn't update here.
It didn't end well so I was a bit distracted but I want to update for anyone who may be searching for help and want to know the outcome if they read this.
The day after I started bleeding I went to the emergency pregnancy unit, Id been bleeding for 24 hours by then and it bloody hurt too so I had a very bad feeling about it. The hospital did some checks and took my bloods and said to come back 48 hours later. I didn't even go back as 24 hours later they rang and said my hormones were at 3 and that meant everything had gone.

I bled for another 4 days and it hurt a lot like mild contractions tbh.
And now its over.

Thanks to everyone who replied to me on here.

Aw, so sorry Iris. It sounds like an exact replica of my second miscarriage.

Hope you feel ok physically and are recovering emotionally.
