In the last 2 days my calves have gone solid, rock hard. They are very heavy and definitly swollen, they have also started aching today.
Is there anything i can do, should i be worried and what the hell is going on Grin

Hi

Do they feel hot? Sore? Any red patches?

How pg are you? I know if your pg you're more susceptable to deep vein thrombosis, and that has symptons like you describe, but it's usually just in 1 leg.

Still i'd get it chgecked out by dr to be on thesafe side.

thanks you, i'm 34 wks. have called the docs and they say to elevate my legs and thats all they can do. well i know for sure it can be caused by pre-eclampsia just from searchign the net, so i'm gonna keep them raised and keep a very close eye on them too.

That ridiculus, when I was pg I had chest pains and swollen legs, and dr sent me to hospital because they thought it could be dvt to be monitored.

It wasn't but I think if you're still like it tomorrow you should go and see doctors again.

sounds like water retention. I had it bad and unfortunately it only got worse until I delivered. I started at 25 wks with the retention. yes it is a sign of pre-eclampsia. I eventually developed pre-eclampsia at 38 wks.

Water retention can make it virtally impossible to squat as it feels like calves will burst!
Horrid.
Elevate your legs as much as poss.
