Does anyone know any good references for finding out where roughly the baby should be at a given week of pregnancy?

I have a diagram of fundal height, so know where the top of my uterus should be, but don't really know where the bottom of the uterus is or whether you expect baby to be vaguely in the middle?

Asking because I'm feeling flutters in about the spot I find the heartbeat with a home doppler, but it's much lower than I would have expected at 18 weeks - just a wee bit above the bikini line.

Cheers for any advice.

Well the baby can be anywhere in your uterus.....they move about a lot at 18 weeks. The bottom of your uterus is at the top of your vagina, just past your cervix. It's not unusual for the FH to be just above bikini line level.

Thanks, viva. In that case, I may very well have felt my baby moving for the first time today. Smile

I think everyone is different, also torso size/length will make a differnce from each woman to were the uterus is felt on them. I'm 17wk and mine is at my belly button already. It's all so differnt so don't worry about the height just yet :) it is very possible that you felt the baby move. Congratulations :) xx
