But what if my wee smells like roses!? which i have always suspected.
there doesnt appear to be much moisture on this pad now so I am wondering if I was wrong? But then waters must run out at some point? and i could have been leaking for nearly 2 days. oooh, i dont know....

HATE ringing them if it is just me being a mare!

I would definitely get checked out. My waters went initially as I got up from a nap on the Thursday afternoon, but trickled over a couple of days. It depends on where they 'pop' whether they all go at once or bit by bit. I also didn't have contractions and still ended up being induced (sorry)!

Good luck!

FrancesHouseman · 25/02/2013 11:07

Have you rung them yet? It sounds very much like waters to me but if it's been going on for 2 days you should get checked out. Ring now, please!

iamwhaticallpregnant · 25/02/2013 11:16

OK - Update!
Have called assessment centre - lovely lady said it doesn't sound like anything to panic about - said same as you. To put the pad on and keep an eye on it for the next few hours. If it gets wet then call back. And if I felt any tightenings etc call back.
So I am happy.... and waiting as usual.
I will keep you updated. thank you everyone.

I didn't have any contractions when I rang the hospital either Wink But it will probably take a bit longer for you being your first, sorry to get hopes up!
Really hope your contractions get going now. I had a good induction, but still nicer to get going on your own Smile
If it helps, even if they do need to induce you, it shouldn't take much to push you into labour now, so you shouldn't end up with that dreaded wait in hospital for things to get going Smile
Will be checking in on you so keep us updated Grin

If you think you are leaking waters please go to see your midwife, I had the same and my baby ended up with Strep B due to prolonged water leakage.

I don't want to scare anyone but the first time I had heard of strep B was when I got told my baby might not make it through the night so please go and get checked out asap.

iamwhaticallpregnant · 25/02/2013 12:21

oh gawd!!! terrified now. pad seems a tinybit moist but not wet. and my partner has just said could it be sweat. Hate this!
The baby is moving about so seems ok.

Every time I walked I could feel more gushing out of me if that any help and I was told to wear a cheap white pad so you could see the colour if that's any help.

iamwhaticallpregnant · 25/02/2013 12:50

i cant feel anything gushing. i am wearing a cheap white pad. seems a little moist but not wet through. i will wait a while and see...

WhispersOfWickedness · 25/02/2013 12:56

If the pad is moist, I would go and get it checked out tbh as the pads can absorb a bit without you realising so could be damper than you realise. Also if you have been leaking for a while, then there might not be so much left to leak onto the pad IYSWIM.
The midwives will NOT think you are an idiot if they have not gone, they would always rather you be reassured and get checked out than sit around worrying. Just ring them again, say you are worried that you might have been leaking for a couple of days and you are concerned about the infection risk.

MortifiedAdams · 25/02/2013 13:02

Think there are fore waters and hind waters, especially if baby is engaged and sort of plugging most of the water. MAyve its just fore or hind waters? Either way, just pop up and get checked. Nothing to lose if you are getting induced tomorrow anyways.

Guntie · 25/02/2013 15:24

How is it going iam?

iamwhaticallpregnant · 25/02/2013 17:10

hi Guntie. Well the pad has stayed dryish and definitely not wet. No gushing so i am waiting until tomorrow to be induced. Confused
