So what are the chances of this baby turning? 1st baby carrying really neat, super pregnancy, nearly 34wks. Anyone else been in same situation?

I was in the same situation, DD didn't turn and I had ELCS at 37w once my waters went

I was breech at that stage with DS2. He turned a week later.

I was 2 weeks overdue with DS3. I was taken into be induced and he was breach when I was checked. He turned a few times and ended up head down.

Dd was breech until 35 weeks. Interestingly enough she turned on the way up to the hospital where we were going to discuss our options!

DS2 tuned breech at 36 weeks and turned back around 38 weeks. I didn't feel either turn either and he was over 10lbs at birth so not a small one. I was also checked again one week overdue as the midwife thought he'd gone breech again but he hadn't.

They do turn naturally even at a late stage. Good luck!

Thank you for the positive responses! There's hope!!

There are ways you can encourage the baby to turn (ds2 was breech to 36 weeks but turned). From memory it involves crawling around, which can be easier in a toddler swimming pool. Ask your midwife.

Good luck and I envy you getting a baby soon!

My DD turned after 30 weeks. Was 5 years ago so can't remember exactly which week. I carried small too, DD was 6lb 3oz. I awoke in the middle of the night as she turned, was very uncomfortable and frankly weird watching my bump as she did it.

DD2 was in normal position until 35 weeks when she turned breach. One week later she turned head down again. I did do exercises which supposedly help baby move around (spinning babies, if I remember correctly). I don't know if they helped or she would have turned on her own anyway, but I was determined to the everything I can not to go for CS or very difficult breach birth so I did them religiously for couple of days.

I'm the same, I was wondering if babies were still likely to turn if they have always been breech? This one has never been any other way so far. I've been having regular scans, always breech!

DD (17 weeks) was always breech. I could feel her head turning in my ribs and her kicking my bum (!) from the mid 20 week time. I knew she wouldn't turn, she was wedges in there and I think she was actually stuck! She never made any attempt up move at all and I had an elcs at 37+4 due to fluid reduction. She had been crushing my liver, and although she was 7lb 3oz she was sooooo short!! I really do think she couldn't grow because she was stuck :(
