Bladder weakness

Hello all,

I know this has probably been done to death but my wife is 21 weeks in to pregnancy and is suffering from bladder weakness and vaginal discharge.

She is getting upset because she thinks she can't talk to anyone because it's embarrassing. I'm trying to persuade her to utilise forums to help her feel better so I would appreciate some pregnancy anecdotes relating to the thread topic so I can help her feel better :)

Both are tottally normal in pregnacy. I am currently 20 weeks and am feeling ur wifes pain.

As long as the discharge isnt fowl smelling it is normal in pg and as long as she does her pelvic floor exercises her bladder shud return to normal after pregnacy.

One of the long list of "lovely" side effects of pregnancy.

I use a panty liner as hate the idea of smelling of wee.

Pelvic floor "workouts" will help her return to normal.

Lots of videos online telling (as opposed to showing!) you what to do if she doesm't, try youtube.

Admire you being a supportive DP btw.

Agree to using panty liners too. I'm 30 weeks now and have a nasty cough and they are truly a god send.

Encourage her to use these online forums too, she will be anonymous so can ask and discuss any problems she might want to.

Thanks for the replies. She's feeling a bit better about it now.

She has assured me that she will start to use the forum using this account so hopefully you will hear more from her!
