Obviously they aren't attending since found spots but wondering due to likely chances of baby coming soon whether I should think about keeping dd1 at home for the one day a wk she normally goes to nursery (& forgo the rest sob sob) to make sure nothing brought home to baby? First case was 3 wks ago & other 3 cases since then....thoughts?

she may already have been infected, or she may not - there is no way of knowing. you can only do what you think will make you feel better at the time. It takes between 10-21 days to incbate chicken pox. Those children would have been contagious before the spots had come up. Its a tough call, but for peace of mind maybe keep her home?

it might be worth contacting midwife tomorrow and asking if she thinks it's worth asking the lab to check if you are immune - might save having to find out in a hurry if your dd starts to get spots.

Yes I would contact mw/gp tomorrow. Dd had the pox during my first trimester. I thought I had never had it however had a blood test for immunity and bloods came back as immume luckily.

Yes I would get immunity tested - then you will know very quickly whether you need to worry about you. this is what I did when DD had it.
Having said that my midwife wasn't interested in testing when I said there had been cases in the nursery - I had to wait until DD caught it.
