I am about 4 weeks pregnant I think (missed period and 2 x positive preg tests)
I have been having an almost continuous period type pains and lower back cramps. I also feel lethargic and cold/chills.

I don't suffer from bad period pain and had almost symptomless pregnancies with my other two. (no sickness, cramps ect) and I don't feel it is quite right.

I know it is very early days but wondering what might be amiss if anything and if I should just let it pass. Its been going on a few days - a week really.
The pain is not REALLY bad but I am aware of it almost constantly.
I havent had any spotting or bleeding.

Havent had any pregnancy symptoms as such but then I didn't really with the others.

No complications with other pregs apart from dvt after 1st.
Thankyou in advance

It is very common to get cramping and pains in early pregnancy so it doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. Hope it is ok for you.

you could be unlucky and have the starts of a virus as the same time hence the chills? (also its mega cold out there)

Hi Speckledpig,

I had cramping pain, similar to period pain roughly around the same time. It would come and go, but when it would come it was really noticeable and painful. I'm 10 weeks now with baby 1 and it's pretty much gone. I did a bit of research into it and learnt that cramping is common in early pregnancy - everything is changing inside so you're bound to feel things. If it get's unbearable though and you feel something is wrong, speak to your GP. You know your body best and it's always worth checking to be on the safe side.

Feeling lethargic is also common - I started feeling that way around 8 weeks I think. I'm still tired all the time and constantly feel sick. Eating has been a bit of a nightmare!

I really hope you feel better soon and congratulations on baby number 3

x

im the same hun. im 4 weeks and cramping alot too, with no bleeding. as a mum of 3 id say dont worry every pregnancy is different.. my first was easy peasy, my 3rd was a nightmare with allsorts of bugs and symptoms. but both ended in healthy babies Smile dont forget that hormones relax and adapt muscles and ligaments, and the cervix rises up.. it could just be muscular x x

I'm on my third and the stretching/moving pains are much worse than the first two. Not sure why, but it's no fun.
