Anyone remember Walkers Tomato Ketchup flavour crips!? I NEED them! Have been craving them for about 3 days now.

OP

DH says those crisps were just prawn cocktail repackaged.

Get some prawn ones!

SeriousStuff · 21/02/2013 23:09

Afrodizzywonders from what I've read online, the Ovaltine bars were taken over by a Swiss company and rebranded. You can buy them here

Purplemonster · 21/02/2013 23:18

I wanted tropical fruit pastilles to the point I had DREAMS about them, no joy though, they were a limited edition years ago. I've nearly got over it now at 21 weeks but at the time I could have cried! That and cadburys fuse bars, also discontinued, why oh why do I want things that don't exist?

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 21/02/2013 23:30

When I was on holiday I ate about a million bags of these. Was overjoyed to find this website and ordered a few more.

anonymosity · 22/02/2013 02:31

I'd love to say clay, rock and olive oil but for me it wasn't very exciting.

I craved PLAIN food - bread and butter, sliced tomatoes, sliced apples, the odd hunk of cheddar.

anonymosity · 22/02/2013 02:32

oops sorry - thought it was pregnancy cravings, not "no longer available"

in that case it would be WALNUT WHIPS!

letsgetreadytoramble · 22/02/2013 07:58

I had a desperate urge for hot dogs (with the really cheap hot dog sausages) with honey on top. I had to walk past a hot dog van to get to work every day and it was all I could do not to fling open the door and smear honey on everything... Blush

Frozen milk with DD . The ones in the tetra pac, pop it in the frezer , then just before its fully rock hard , dont ask me how i knew , i just did ? take it out give it a good squeeze to break it up then pour into a large glass and eat/drink bliss .

Oh and sniffing the vacuum cleaner with DS

thegreylady · 22/02/2013 09:08

I craved avocados with ds and Heinz tomato soup with dd. The soup one was so bad that I used to take a flask of it to bed at night. Then I couldn't sleep for thinking about it so I'd drink it all at once then I couldn't sleep because I didn't have any so dh would go down and fill the flask again!

GuffSmuggler · 22/02/2013 09:16

Yes I've had the tomato soup craving a couple of you have mentioned, but I ate it non-stop for a week and can't touch it now!

Angel there is no way prawn cocktail and tomato sauce are the same flavour!

I've now ordered my my tomato ketchup crisps on Amazon, am so happy THANK YOU ALL, they just better be EXACTLY the same as the ones I remember from 20 years ago!!

I only craved anything for one day during both my pregnancies. Oranges...just for one day though.

leaharrison11 · 22/02/2013 09:33

I craved turkey twizzlers and a sponge cake i used to have in primary school was horrible

DillyTante · 22/02/2013 09:34

Yep, I actually cried because you couldn't get the Knorr stir in sauce I wanted anymore.

booksandchoc · 22/02/2013 09:41

We still get tomato ketchup walkers and woctershire (not got a clue how to spell it) walkers in Scotland. DH eats them all the time. Get them from most local shops and the supermarkets in multi bags too. We still have walnut whips too for the poster who mentioned them. Grin

Bejeena · 22/02/2013 09:43

I live abroad and keep fancying all sorts of British goodies like Skips, Heinz Chicken soup and other things that you just can't get here! So I feel your pain. Actually could go for a pack of Hula Hoops now too!

Luckily it is not so bad though, wouldn't say it is a have to have kind of craving more like 'Oh that would be nice' kind of thing.

Branleuse · 22/02/2013 09:50

i had to break my nestle boycott last pregnancy. my baby needed peppmint aeros Sad

BreastmilkDoesAFabLatte · 22/02/2013 10:42

When I was pg with DS I neeeeeeeded a particular cheese sandwich from a specific and very distant cafe. It would have taken me several buses or a ridiculously extravagent taxi ride to get there. I remember thinking someone should start up a delivery service sourcing and express-delivering foodstuffs craved to pregnant women...

PinkApple86 · 22/02/2013 11:47

walkers did bring back those cheese and chive crisps but they are in the lights multipack! Without the spice girl now though.

dondon33 · 22/02/2013 11:53

All 3 times I craved old fashioned cola bottles, not the cheap ones nor the ones in Haribo. Only a few places in my local area were still able to get them by the time I was pregnant with dc3 - and I eventually cleaned them out :( I then had to resort to haribo's but used to cry because they didn't taste the same.

Other craving's I had were for tinned plum tomatoes mixed with boiled rice, whole jars of mixed pickles (including drinking some juice) Slices of mature cheddar with nutella spread on it and my strangest one- for washing powder started with just smelling it but eventually I had to put a tiny bit in my mouth to satisfy myself- then crazily wash my mouth out with water - Oh and it had to be Persil non bio, nothing else would do :)

NAR4 · 22/02/2013 13:21

I REALLY want the pasta and pesto salad they did in Sainsburys. They just stopped doing it out of the blue and there is nothing else even similar.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 23/02/2013 07:09

Nar4 that and the tuna crunch sub roll were all I ate during the hell of morning sickness. The lovely little pine nuts. Can't believe they've stopped it.

NAR4 · 23/02/2013 10:55

You can still buy the pesto pasta from the salad counter at big stores but not from the fridge anymore at the smaller stores. My nearest big store is 40 minutes away and I have to admit to driving there just for the pasta a few times recently.

TwoOfThree · 23/02/2013 15:39

Oh how I crave bacon waffle crisps and Club lemon. Only available in Ireland! I'm going to have to start asking the inlaws to start shipping it over!

MrsTotes · 23/02/2013 15:40

We live in the States, and there are so many things from home I've had cravings for. Extra strong mints, salt and vinegar crisps, and a couple of weeks ago I had such a hankering for chippy fish and chips.
