clothes for 36 week gestation baby

Hi,

I would be very grateful for any advice on clothing sizes for a 36 week gestation baby. I am 36 weeks tomorrow and expect to be induced tomorrow or Saturday as my waters broke yesterday, I an just waiting for a slot on the induction suite.

We have plenty of newborn clothes from our older 2 and they fitted in them for a few weeks (7.11 and 7.5) but will I need early baby clothes for this one? Her estimated weight yesterday was 6lb 6 oz but I suspect she will be a little less as her abdomen measurement was quite big compared to the rest.

Some places do 5lb clothes, but can't remember where. Mothercare do I think? If I were you, I'd just ask someone to pick up a couple of packs of 5lbs sleepsuits and bodysuits.
Also, if you're reusing sleepsuits from your older 2, might they have shrunk (or it might just be me who always shrinks clothes!).

Mothercare, tesco, boots and M&co all make 5lb and 7lber clothes, variously labelled as early baby and tiny baby.

Asda do lovely tiny baby bits too that don't rip your arm off in price xx

Asdaand Sainsburys have been the best for my 6lb twins. H&m not bad either.

Definitely will have shrunk them :) they still fit ds2 though so imagine they would swamp her!

My 6lb10 baby was fine in newborn, so don't buy too much tiny stuff as they might not be in it for long.

My girls were born at 34 weeks and weighed 5lb7 & 6lb1. I bought Early Baby (under 7lb) sleep suits from Mothercare. They were a bit big but suitable. I bought newborn vests as it doesnt matter if they are a bit big.
