I've woken up this morning with a very achey lower back, not really like i've slept badly, but it's very much a period like pain.
I've tried sitting down, walking around, hot water bottles but it seems to slowly be getting stronger. I would say the pain is about a 7, so not completely awful, but certainly noticeable and uncomfortable.
I've also had a braxton hix when i was in the shower, which is odd because i only usually get them when i'm on a long walk.

Should i leave it and see how i get on throughout the day or do i need to speak to a midwife asap?

Ring your midwife please. Could be early labour xx

Agree, ring the midwife. Could be something easily treatable such as a urinary tract infection.

Have called. She told me to take two paracetamol and see how I go. Definitely getting a bit worse.
