Is this my mucus plug? (tmi)

Hi everyone :) i'm 38.4 and today i've had some different discharge to normal and i'm wondering if this is my mucus plug.

I've been having increased discharge anyway, but this evening whilst i was sat on the sofa i suddenly felt something in my knickers. Went to the bathroom to check and there was a blob of discharge (clear, didnt smell) and it looked a bit like snot. It wasn't massive, but not a small blog either.

Do you think this could be my mucus plug starting to come away? I thought i should be seeing it tinged with pink blood. Please post your experiences. Sorry for TMI, this is my first pregnancy and not really sure what to expect.

Hiya. I didn't lose my mucus plug until I was well into labour with all of mine but I've had to be induced every time so possibly a different process. However, when I lost the plug it looked like a handful of jelly like snotty stuff, a bit bloody but not very. Sounds like it to me how exciting!

How much of it was there? Mine was the size of half my palm so i dont think its all come out yet surely x

yes probably but don't get I've excited... labor doesn't always happen right after, mine was with in a couple days though.

Hi. Yes it sounds like it. I lost mine, or part of it, quiye a while before I went into labour. Maybe a week before. I toldw and she said that was normal. Good luck, hope you don't yave to wait too long to meet you little bundle of joy!!

Whatever you do, don't google imagine 'mucus plug'. Rookie mistake by me!

Sounds like the plug to me. A chunk of mine came away at 38 weeks, the rest 4 days later, then next day DD arrived :)
