How much bedding????

Hi, I'm in the process of buying bedding for the cot and Moses basket and I'm not sure how much I need. I've bought a 'bed in a bag' from mothercare which has a coverlet, a cellular blanket and two fitted sheets. How much spare bedding should I get?
Also the Moses basket came with a coverlet. Do I need sheets and blankets especially for a Moses basket or can the cot ones be used? So confusing!

I would buy little and wait and see what works for you. With moses basket we used pillow cases as mattress covers, I swaddled dd in a large muslin until she was a month old and then used baby sleeping bags (gro-bag is the brand name but much cheapera available in supermarkets/ tk maxx/ eBay. We love the sleeping bags as she just kicks other bedding off and have now bought a set of 6-18 month ones for her cot so will only need an under sheet in that.

PS I found I needed 7 sleeping bags to be sure of always having them ready. My dd often leaks at night so I use a fresh one every day.

Have posted this before but...
I used John Lewis, but doesn't really matter. Do check sizes as they do vary and it's nice to open the packet and have a feel of the sheet. I used the soft flanalette type ones for bottom sheet and normal for top sheet.

I got:
4 bottom fitted sheets, used them all. Especially before I got the tip of using a muslin under the head of a sticky baby rather than change the sheet each time.
2 top sheets, rarely used, could have managed with 1
3 cellular blankets, 1 would have been enough but these are too big for Moses basket
3 Moses basket fitted sheets, pillowcases would have done the job just fine.
3 pram blankets all given as gifts after birth (these can be used in Moses basket too)
And most vitally, 2 x1 tog sleeping bags for summer and daytime naps, and 2 x2.5tog bags for winter. I used the merino ones which are pretty expensive but great and suitable from 7lb. If one got wet/dirty, then I washed straight away, so never needed more than 2.

Coverlets not really helpful or appropriate tbh.
